Earlier this week we were informed that Joseph Lieberman (I-CT) and former Democratic Nominee for Vice President (Gore-Lieberman) will speak at the Republican Convention. Recently Senate Majority leader Harry Reed said that, “Lieberman is defending his friend” which to him was acceptable, but still raised a lot of questions on where Lieberman will fall come re-election in a few years. Back in 2006 Lieberman was defeated in the democratic primary for re-election; he then immediately announced that he was going to run as an independent. During this race almost every leading democrat supported the democrat nominee instead of the veteran incumbent Lieberman, but sadly for them Lieberman still won. Recently Lieberman has been considered as a possible VP for John McCain, or a member of a McCain Administration. What can we expect from Lieberman, who almost became Vice President and if would have won in 2000 probably would be running for President now, I don’t know. I do know that Lieberman was part of the reason why McCain won New Hampshire and why he shot back into the lime light. Many people are saying that Lieberman may jump ship fully and join the Republican Party at the convention, and that he will assert himself as a big play in the New GOP. What ever the case is I am a big fan of this politician, and believe he is actually helping out McCain out. Also if anyone thinks having a strong independent candidate as a friend then I only remind you that if you carry the majority of the independents in this country, then you are probably going to become President. Keep it going Lieberman probably the only good thing ever to come from the Left!
