Obama Part of the Forum

In tonight’s Faith Forum, that place Obama and McCain in an interview setup, that asked both candidates to explain his view of issues only dealing with faith. This was the first time that both candidates would share the stage since clinching their respected party nominations. Obama took the stage fist with a strong and standing ovation from the crowd. At first glance you notice that Obama seemed to look tired, and had some gray hair showing, but none the less showed off his charm to kick of this forum. The first topic of discussion was leadership and it asked specifics of Obama. Obama ansewers were strong and quickly answered with precision and good answers. “Jesus Christ died for my sins” This is a quote that Obama gave when he was asked what role is Christianity to him, and what has it done for him. “We don’t walk alone” was another quote that Obama gave that impressed me, and impressed the crowd. Obama however had moments we you saw the crowd, the facilitator, and as well as myself bored with Obama. Obama brought up the war in Iraq on multiple times, and tried to flaunt his foreign policy. Also Obama didn’t answer some of the questions but used words and debate to move around them. For example when Obama was asked about Abortion and Marriage he flipped flopped on the stage, and didn’t give a definite answer. However probably the most dropped ball of the night was when Obama was asked why he should be President in one minute, of course he took more than a minute. Sacrifices and need to work together for a better tomorrow was a strong finish for Obama and overall not a bad job. Now time to listen to McCain. I will analyze both candidates at the conclusion of the forum.
