Day Three of the Republican Convention

Tonight the Republicans decided to throw everything they had into the mix, and give it all they got. To answer this task the McCain campaign and the RNC put together a line up of speakers that could deliver that message. The speakers would be all former Presidential Candidates, and all would be favorites in 2012 when the next round of primaries would kick off. The first speaker was none other then former governor Mitt Romney of Massachusetts. Romney is mostly remembered as going negative the most in the primaries, and how his negative adds where extremely successful. Romney began with hard jabs to the other side of the spectrum, and was relentless when comparing McCain to Obama when dealing with evil. “And at Saddleback, after Barack Obama dodged and ducked every direct question, John McCain hit the nail on the head: Radical, violent Islam is evil, and he will defeat it.”Romney stern warning to American was received with great applause and received strong recognition from his fellow Republicans. Romney also ended his speech with a glance towards the future by giving a strong statement, “President McCain and Vice President Palin will keep America as it has always been: The hope of the Earth.” Next to speak was the last Republican to exit the race, second place finish presidential campaign, former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee. Mike Huckabee like Romney wasted little to no time going right after Obama and defending Sarah Palin. "John McCain offers specific ideas to respond to this need for change," this is point that seems every speaker is trying to identify, that McCain is the true agent for change. Huckabee speech was strong, and he admitted that McCain wasn’t his first choice, but he is the only choice now to make for President. After Huckabee speech it was time for the keynote speech which was fantastically done by Rudy Giuliani. Giuliani brought humor and enthusiasm to the convention floor, and it only reminded me how close he came from becoming the nominee of this party. “We are the party that believes ... in America's essential greatness” Giuliani explained to a stadium filled that its time for us to move forward. “You're hiring someone to do a job” this is when Giuliani explained the importance of this election, and tried to tell people that we are in charge and we get to pick the next President. “And now the job is up to us. Let's get John McCain and Sarah Palin elected, and let's shake up Washington and move this country forward” This is how Giuliani ended his speech with great applause and standing ovation at the convention. All three main speakers did their job effectively and successful but it was now time for the main event, Sarah Palin.
